In September 2021, IndigoBlu PR partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama to develop a robust public relations strategy. Our objective was to enhance the organization's brand visibility and capture the interest of diverse media channels. Through creating and distributing press releases and media alerts, we highlighted the organization's collaborations, events, and achievements. Consequently, we effectively garnered local, regional, and national media coverage. Additional activities photography, social media content and assisting with special projects and events.

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama launches youth-led art project Africatown Shop

In May, IBPR, under the guidance of BGCSA CEO Tim Wills, interviewed Soynika Edwards to delve deeper into the Africatown Project. Initiated initially as an art contest sponsored by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, this youth-led art project has evolved into a movement that has inspired young individuals to explore their community and its rich history. The artwork created as part of this project is protected by copyright through the U.S. Copyright Office, exclusively for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama. The original painting has been photographed and applied to a range of items available for purchase via our Africatown Shop. The proceeds from the sale of these items will be utilized to support camp and educational opportunities for the youth residing or studying in the broader Africatown community.

WKRG 5 Telethon

IBPR assisted with the WKRG telethon and was responsible for event PR, media inquiries, and coordinating pre-recorded interviews & video shoots for the package. More than $62,000 was raised.

In December 2022, St. Louis Battlehawks quarterback AJ McCarron created unforgettable Christmas memories at the Sonny Callahan Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA). He generously treated 20 Club kids to a special shopping spree at Academy Sports. Accompanied by law enforcement officers from different agencies, each Club kid had the opportunity to pick out their desired items. IBPR was present to provide media support and share valuable information about BGCSA. This heartwarming event exemplifies the Club's mission to empower and uplift youth in the community through impactful partnerships and experiences.
